147 grain vs 124 grain recoil wise will be different with one not necessarily being better than the other. I can do .15 splits with my CZ with 147 grain bullets. Lighter bullets have more of a snap and heavier bullets more of a push, it is really a matter of personal preference which one you can shoot better.
